ERIC TURRO MARTINEZ - Artistic Director - Choreographer - Lead dancer.

Eric is one of the greatest dancers that Cuba has ever produced.  A master on his own right with a style all of his own.

Born in Cuba, Eric is one of Cuba's undisputed top talents.  His unique style of dance the traditional  "Son Cubano"  makes him one of Cuba's most admired and respected around the world.

He is the man who has brought the Cuban traditional dance to the world stage through the Buena Vista Social Club and The Bar at Buena Vista.

Performing with the Buena VIsta Social Club from 2001 - 2005 at the National Hotel in Cuba gave Eric the opportunity to show his art and dance skills.  This was followed with international tours since 2004 around the globe until today 2012, giving him a place on top of world as one of the greatest Cuban exponents of our Era.

Married to Australian born; Chantal Turro Martinez and living in Australia since late 2009 has given Eric the opportunity to promote his Cuban culture in Australia, teaching and peforming to Australian audiences, festivals and Latin community events.

Since the Cuban master touched down in Australia the first time in 2004, touring with the bar at Buena Vista he felt in love with the Australian culture and the multiculturalism of this country. During the 2005 tour with the Bar at Buena Vista once again, he had a dream of doing a multicural show with Australian and Cuban performers,  it took 6 years for the Cuban master to see his dream come true.

In 2011, Copacabana International in Melbourne gave Eric the opportunity to present his own show, under his own Artistic Direction:  Havana de Noche.  A great success for the first Cuban - Australian production in the history of Australia.

2012, has been a busy year for the Cuban master, touring with his international commitments; Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Cuba, London and Hamburg, the busy schedule didn't stop to present his own show once again in Australia, this time at the largest Chilean & Latin American festival: The September Festival, where a crowd over 10,000 people on Saturday 22nd and  similar crowd on Sunday 23rd of September watched the first Cuban - Australian production with Havana de Noche.
